The DFG-funded Information Infrastructure for BioImage Data (I3D:Bio) project arose from regular exchange within GerBI-GMB’s working group Image Data Analysis and Management and meetings of the informal Research Data Management for Microscopy (RDM4mic) group. A key goal of I3D:bio is to facilitate research data management at universities and research institutions in Germany leveraging the image data management platform OMERO (OME Remote Objects).

The team has now published I3D:bio’s OMERO training material: Re-usable, adjustable, multi-purpose slides for local user training, a set of slideshows that can easily be adapted by imaging core facility staff (and others) for local courses or self-guided instruction manuals.
The material is directed at beginners in using OMERO. It is published as an open educational resource (OER) on Zenodo.

On top, the I3D:bio team produced a series of short video tutorials based on this material, which is published on YouTube.

This material is intended to add another community contributed format for OMERO user training complementing the OMERO guides and other community-contributed resources.

The I3D:bio project is supported by GerBI-GMB. Review the I3D:bio website for more information.
