What began as the Fulda Meetings continued this year as the GerBI Community Meeting. More than 50 GerBI members met from 3 to 6 March 2024 above the roofs of Fulda in the active Frauenberg monastery.

Our Community met to talk about research data management within GerBI (see our Zenodo), to lay the foundations for new task forces, and to exchange ideas in discussions and the poster session.

On day 2 we held our General Assembly with the election of our Boards. We bid farewell to Elisa May, Roland Nitschke and Steffen J. Sahl and thank them for their many years of support. A warm welcome to Elisa D'Este and Bastian Hülsmann, who were elected to the GerBI Board. Our Advisory Board was also newly elected. An overview of our new composition can be found here.

We look back on a successful meeting with lively dialogue and many new inputs and opportunities. We hope to see all our members again in 2 years time at the Community Meeting 2026 or at the TiM 2025.
