We’re pleased to invite you to the 2026 edition of the GloBIAS workshop.
AI is radically transforming bioimage analysis in multiple ways, challenging traditional analyses, trainings, services (facilities), and the value of human intelligence. We will share these rapidly evolving scenes in this workshop through talks, brain-storming, and collaborations during the workshop.
This year’s programm:
- BIAS in Imaging Core Facilities: Management and Operations — Past, Present, Future From service units to innovation hubs: redefining the role of imaging core facilities in bioimage analysis for 2030.
- AI in BIAS (Part 1): Foundation Models — What Comes Next? From foundation models to foundational questions: mapping the future of AI in bioimage analysis.
- AI in BIAS (Part 2): AI Agents for Bioimage Analysis — How Do They Work? From tools to teammates: how AI agents may reshape workflows and training.
- BIAS Meets Bioinformatics: Multimodal Analysis in Spatial Biology From images to multi-omics: advancing spatial biology through integration with bioinformatics.
- BIAS Curriculum for 2030: Standards, Experience, and the Role of AI Rethinking what and how we teach in an AI-enabled landscape.
- Benchmarking Tribes: Community Working Groups for Next-Generation Evaluation Beyond leaderboards: evolving benchmarking in the age of AI-assisted discovery.
The format will follow the highly interactive style of the GloBIAS Workshop 2024 (Gothenburg), with an emphasis on open discussion, exchange of ideas, and collaborative sessions. We hope you’ll be able to join us—more details to follow soon.
