This event is part of the webinar series “GBI’ Spotlight on Data”.
This session highlights a range of ongoing efforts within the community that aim to support others working on Research Data Management (RDM), along with a selected set of questions that are entirely appropriate to ask. RDM does not need to happen in isolation: local, national, and international communities and infrastructures can all provide valuable support for RDM initiatives—and it is precisely for this reason that we are running this spotlight series. No one needs to struggle through these challenges alone.
📅 Live Session: Wed 24 June 2026 | 17:00 CEST
General information:
A new Spotlight webinar series focused on supporting imaging scientists in core facilities in research data management has been launched by German BioImaging and Global BioImaging.
Building on the success of the nearly two-year-long original Spotlight on Career Paths developed by the international Career Path Working Group and running for nearly two years, this initiative continues to provide a platform for sharing experience, guidance, and best practices across the imaging community.
The series content is prepared by the International Data Management Working Group and introduces a practical “10 Steps” approach, with one step highlighted each month. Each session offers actionable guidance, real-world examples, and space for discussion of challenges and solutions from imaging core facilities around the world.
We invite the global imaging community to join the sessions, share their experiences, and contribute to a growing collaborative resource that supports more robust, efficient, and sustainable data management in imaging science.
