Bringing the GerBI Community together!

The GerBI Community Meeting is a bi-annual event that brings together members of the GerBI society and those interested in the society for vibrant exchanges, collaborative discussions, and the sharing of knowledge across the bioimaging community. Originally known as the Fulda Meetings, this gathering has evolved into a key event for fostering connections, introducing the GerBI teams and their work to the community, sharing research data management practices, and driving the development of new initiatives within GerBI. Held at the Frauenberg Monastery in Fulda, participants gather to discuss the latest trends in bioimaging, they are encouraged to share new ideas, and to help shape the direction of GerBI’s ongoing projects.

The General Assembly during the Community Meeting serves as a platform for decision-making within the network. Elections are held to fill key positions in the GerBI society for the GerBI cash auditors, the Board and the Advisory Board. It is a time to present and reflect on what has happened during the last year and thank all involved in shaping the society. Furthermore, during the Gerneral Assembly, the next year’s budget plan and activities are decided by the GerBI members.

The Community Meeting is an essential moment for members and friends of the society to engage, learn, connect and explore new opportunities. Looking ahead, we are excited for the next GerBI Community Meeting in 2026.
