After careful consideration, we have decided to step away from Platform X. Over time, we realized that the platform, in its current state, no longer aligns with what we stand for at GerBI.

We had already refrained from posting on X for some time, and we now want to make this decision official. Our account will remain as a placeholder, and we continue to stand by the content we have shared. For a long time, we greatly valued the exchange and discussions there. However, given the platform’s recent developments, it no longer reflects our vision of an open scientific discourse.

Therefore, the GerBI Board has unanimously decided that while we will not delete our X account, we will no longer actively post content. To stay up to date, you can continue to find us on Bluesky, LinkedIn, and, of course, on our GerBI website.

Many universities and research institutions have already left X as part of the #WissXit movement, and more continue to follow this path. We are now taking this step as well and committing to a future of open and constructive scientific discourse on our other platforms.
